The Perfect Family Getaway
Welcome to Honeymoon Bay Cottage
Our year round quiet cottage offers your family the perfect getaway for a week in the summer or a few days in the fall, winter and spring.
The cottage is fully wheelchair accessible even to the beach.
Children of all ages are welcome, as well as one socially friendly pet.
For the occasional time when the weather is less than perfect, there is the large covered deck to enjoy.
The lake is shallow enough for young children to enjoy, then drops off, and is excellent swimming for all.
We also have a wharf to tie up your boat.
Evenings at the campfire are always memory making.
In winter, there is a cozy wood stove to keep you warm.
Where we are:
Honeymoon Bay Cottage can be found on beautiful Lake Cowichan, Vancouver Island, British Columbia, Canada.
We are located 1.5 hours north west of Victoria.
With a length of 26 miles, Lake Cowichan is the 2nd largest lake on Vancouver Island.

Things to do in the area:
We are only a walk or short drive to the popular March Meadows golf course, home of Dawn Coe-Jones, Women's LPGA golfer. The rates are reasonable and you can often get the T-time you want.
During the summer months, there is an outdoor market each Saturday in Honeymoon Bay. While at the Market, visit The Coffee Mill where you can get great homemade meals, and features fish and chips on Friday’s which are a "must have".
Another short walk will take you to Gordon Bay Provincial park or to the many trails and walking areas.
For those who wish to venture a bit further, there is always the Pacific Marine Circle Route, which extends westerly around to Port Renfrew, then east to Victoria, and back to Lake Cowichan and Honeymoon Bay.
During the warm summer months, cool off by floating down the Cowichan River on a tube. Tubing in the Cowichan River is a very popular pass-time, with tube rentals available in Lake Cowichan.
The surfing crowd will love Nitnat Lake, which is renowned for wind surfing.
There is something for everyone of all ages.
